Getting Taltz

How do I get/start Taltz?
  • Once your doctor prescribes Taltz for you, Taltz Togetheror your doctor's office will help you choose a specialty pharmacy. This pharmacy will work with you to set the dates and times of your deliveries
What is a specialty pharmacy?
  • A specialty pharmacy fills prescriptions for biologic medicines like Taltz
  • It coordinates deliveries and offers comprehensive support in the distribution of medications
How do I receive my treatments?
  • Either through the mail from your specialty pharmacy or, if you live near the specialty pharmacy, you may be able to pick up your treatment. You may also arrange with your specialty pharmacy to pick it up at your doctor’s office
How soon will I receive my treatment?
  • It depends on your insurance coverage and carrier, but once your prescription is received by your specialty pharmacy, someone at the specialty pharmacy will call to arrange a date and time for delivery

Taltz Together

What is Taltz Together?
  • Taltz Together is your personalized support program designed for people who are taking Taltz
  • It gives you a personal Companion in Care—someone who can answer your questions, arrange injection trainings, remind you of injections, or lend an ear when you need it
Can I customize the program?
  • Yes, you can choose the type of support that fits your needs during enrollment or with your Companion in Care at any time
Is Taltz Together free?
  • Yes, it is a free program

Insurance

Is Taltz covered by insurance?
  • It may be covered by your health insurance provider, but your specialty pharmacy and Companion in Care may also help get Taltz covered for you
What can I do if my insurance carrier denies coverage of Taltz?
  • Taltz Together will do everything it can to secure coverage. We will appeal your denied claim and keep working to get approval while exploring other options to help you pay for Taltz

Savings

How can I save on Taltz?
  • If eligible, the Taltz Savings Card can help you pay for Taltz
    • If insurance coverage is approved, you will pay no more than $5 monthly for up to 24 months of Taltz*
    • If coverage is denied, you will pay no more than $25 monthly for up to 24 months of Taltz*

*Offer good for up to 24 months. $5 Monthly offer subject to a maximum annual benefit of $16,000. $25 Monthly offer subject to a monthly and annual cap of wholesale acquisition cost plus usual and customary pharmacy charges. Card must be first used by 12/31/2017.

Using Taltz

How do I take Taltz?
  • Your healthcare provider will show you how to inject Taltz. You can also get training through Taltz Together. With this program, a registered nurse can train you. The training is either at your home or over the phone. Taltz Together also has videos available online
What is Taltz?
  • Taltz is a prescription medicine used to treat adults with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis who may benefit from taking injections or pills (systemic therapy) or phototherapy (treatment using ultraviolet or UV light)
  • It works inside your body by targeting the molecule IL-17A, which can contribute to psoriasis
How effective was Taltz in clinical trials?
  • In studies of Taltz, up to 90% of people saw a significant improvement of their moderate to severe psoriasis plaques after 12 weeks, and 4 out of 10 achieved completely clear skin with no redness or scaling

Taltz is a prescription medicine used to treat adults with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis who may benefit from taking injections or pills (systemic therapy) or phototherapy (treatment using ultraviolet or UV light).

Important Safety Information

Do not use Taltz if you have had a severe allergic reaction to ixekizumab or any of the other ingredients in Taltz. See the Medication Guide for a complete list of ingredients in Taltz. If you have a severe allergic reaction, do not take another injection of Taltz.

Taltz is a medicine that affects your immune system and may lower the ability of your immune system to fight infections. Taltz may increase your risk of infections, which can sometimes become serious.

Before starting Taltz, tell your HCP(s) if you

After starting Taltz, call your HCP right away if you have any of the symptoms of infection listed above. Do not use Taltz if you have any symptoms of infection, unless you are instructed to by your HCP.

Tell your HCP about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

Taltz may cause serious side effects, including

The most common side effects of Taltz include: injection site reactions, nausea, fungal infections, and upper respiratory infections. These are not all of the possible side effects of Taltz. Tell your HCP about any side effect that bothers you or that does not go away.

Call your HCP for medical advice about side effects. You are encouraged to report negative side effects of prescription drugs to the FDA. Visit fda.gov/medwatch or call 1-800-FDA-1088.

Store Taltz in the refrigerator, and protect it from light. Do not freeze Taltz or use Taltz if it has been frozen. Do not shake Taltz.

Taltz is available by prescription only.
