What is psoriatic arthritis?
Psoriatic arthritis can develop slowly with mild symptoms, or it can develop quickly and be severe. Early recognition, diagnosis, and treatment of psoriatic arthritis can help stop or limit progressive joint damage that occurs in later stages of the disease.
Common symptoms include:
- Reduction in physical mobility due to pain
- Pain and swelling of the joints in hands, feet, and even hip joints
- Tenderness or pain where tendons and ligaments attach to bones
